So… what is a composite? 

While planning your newborn photoshoot, your newborn photographer will plan ahead for the composites you have chosen to be added to your session.

During the session, your newborn baby will be posed safely, on a posing cushion manufactured and designed for newborn photography and photographed.

And then, during the editing process, your photographer will merge the image of your baby together with a digital backdrop to create the composited image.

This is a very time consuming process to create these images.

So… why then do we use composites?

Because safety is always our first priority. There is never any excuse to take shortcuts when it comes to a newborn baby or child’s safety. Babies should never be put in props hanging from anything, even for a second or put into poses unsupported, even for “just a second” to snap a picture.
